To lead our production are in Leipheim, we are looking for an Operations Manager (m/f/d)

Main purpose of role:

Leading the German production area.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Management and continuous development of the production and work preparation areas with about 200 employees, 4 of them are direct reports
  • Permanent monitoring of target and actual production/quality figures and derivation of measures in case of deviations
  • Continuous improvement of the relevant key figures with regard to efficiency, quality, lead time and occupational safety
  • Budgeting, review and compliance of all costs on the assigned cost centres
  • Continuous adjustment and optimisation of working time, shift and flexibility models in the production area
  •  Redesign and implementation of production workflows
  • New introduction and further development of the Lean Management approach (SFM, Labour Productivity, TPM...)
  • Operational management of special tasks in the area of production, e.g.: Capacity adjustments, flexible reaction in case of supplier bottlenecks

 

Candidate Profile (Education/Competencies Required/Functional Skills/Technical Skills):

  • Completed studies in the field of production, business administration or comparable qualification
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in a comparable environment
  • Knowledge of Lean Production, 5S, SFM
  • Professional handling of ERP software (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics AX) and MS Office)
  • Ability to work independently and responsibly
  • Motivated, team- and customer-oriented personality
  • Leadership personality who coaches and motivates employees
  • High motivation, commitment and entrepreneurial thinking
  • Excellent analytical skills, implementation strength and assertiveness
  • Fluent German and English
