We are looking for a Lead Material Planner & Project Manager Supply Chain (m/f/d) - Temporary parental leave replacement 

Main purpose of role:

Key purpose is planning and managing the supply of finished goods (car & bicycle seats) via intercompany process for all EMEA plants to support and enable agreed internal production schedules and sales orders, thereby ensuring customer delivery dates are met, on time and in full acc. to targets for appropriate inventory level.

Additional supply chain projects should be managed successful acc. to common agreed targets. As core-team-member in new development projects (NPD) interests of SCM will be represented.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Steady review of current valid demand plan incl. correspondence and agreement with each plant to ensure sufficient production capacity in advance.
  • On-time implementation of all required purchase orders for responsible finished goods. Orders will need to be planned, allocated and tracked from placement through to completion to ensure on-time delivery in full.
  • Correct maintenance of master data of each responsible article incl. appropriate definition of min./max. safety-stock, lead-time in ERP.
  • Input, monitor and maintain MRP settings in designated areas to ensure data is correctly implemented.
  • Monitor stock levels to ensure inventory targets are maintained and E&O stock risks are minimised.
  • Work closely with all plants (EMEA & Hong Kong) and build strong working relationships.
  • Investigate regularly availability of responsible items and taking corrective action where necessary.
  • Work closely with Planning, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Product Management and Customer Service to co-ordinate timely phase-in / phase-out of items.
  • Steady consideration of current PPM-rates for each responsible supplier incl. close relationship to Quality to ensure on-time implementation of corrective actions. Current scrap rate of each article should be considered in purchase orders to ensure 100% availability.
  • React to any changes in the production plans which may result in reviewing existing purchase orders with all involved plants and team-members.
  • Seeking continuous improvement for material supply/plant performance and identify appropriate MRP improvements.
  • Support stock take and stock cycle counting activities.

Project Manager Supply Chain

  • Developing, implementing and monitoring strategies to improve supply chain processes incl. ERP-set-up.
  • Lead of cost-saving projects from end to end.
  • SCM core-team-member in new development projects (NPD)

Responsible KPIs:

  • On-Time-Delivery in Full
  • Service-Level
  • Inventory Health (Days on Stock, inventory turns)
  • Backlog – out to stock (confirmed delivery dates)

Educational Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor or Master in Logistics Business Administration. Equivalent by experience

Previous Job Experience Required:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in lead-material-planning or Logistics.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in lead of Supply Chain or/and Logistics projects

Key Skills Required:

  • Very good skills in lead-material-planning via MRP
  • Very good ERP-skills / MS Dynamics AX preferred
  • Very good MS Office Skills
  • Good knowledge in project management
  • Very good language skills in German and English
  • Experience in continuous improvement or/and LEAN projects preferred.
