Key Account Manager

The primary objective of this role is to ensure Britax is the supplier of choice within the Child Care Specialist retail channels. Success will be achieved through strong business relationships based on commercial acumen and trust across the Key Accounts within your territory of Argos, Very and Toys R Us. You will penetrate and understand the accounts cross functionally, covering merchandise; marketing and operational relationships to manage and coordinate longer term commercial growth strategies as well as day to day tactics and executions. 

Based in South England, this role will be remote working, with interstate and regional travel, along with regular visit to our office based in Andover and Customers.

The ideal candidate will work within our dynamic Sales & Marketing team and be a team player that has a passion for growing business (new & existing), using their customer focus insight and strong product knowledge.  You will have around 5 years’ experience within a premium consumer goods brand, where your passion for managing independent retailers allows you to demonstrate your skills from a multi brand, or multi category portfolio. 


  • To manage the day-to-day relationships of Independent & Major accounts in the Southern Territory
  • To manage the Independent Nursery retailers in South of the UK
  • To manage and build relationships with our Key Accounts; Very, Argos, Mamas & Papas
  • To achieve individual sales targets and KPI’s.
  • To convert new business prospects in the region
  • Responsible for maintaining current business and growing the southern area
  • To manage the customer base to deliver first class account management/ product training of all products.
  • To ensure that all accounts have a clear understanding of Britax Romer Products
  • To analysis customer sales data and review in regular sales meetings
  • To be a positive role model and ambassador of Britax Romer
  • To be situated in the South of the UK

  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure with autonomy and accountability. You’ll recognise critical issues and push on to resolve them while keeping stakeholders informed  
  • Aptitude to develop strong cross functional relationships through solid communication and informal leadership 
  • Strong computer skills, Microsoft Office – Excel, PowerPoint, Word essential  
  • Ability to confidently liaise with internal stakeholders and customers
