Overall Responsibility

The ERP Finance specialist Is the designated Dynamics Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all finance aspects of Britaxs ERP systems. The Dynamics SME will work with the ERP Lead Developer to configure, maintain and troubleshoot Britaxs regional Dynamics environments as well as collaborate on the development and testing of new functionality. The Dynamics SME will also serve as the lead IT liaison to the group and regional business units and will work with them to implement process improvements and identify opportunities for optimising Dynamics utilisation and integration

The Dynamics SME will also be the final internal escalation point for AX, D365 and integration issues for the regional service desks.

Finally, the Dynamics SME will work with the business units and with IT Business Intelligence (BI) co-workers to develop and optimise operational and management reports.


Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Install, configure and maintain Dynamics AX 2012, R3 and D365
  • Provide training to key and end users in all regions during normal business hours in each region
  • Troubleshoot Dynamics issues including reviewing X++ code and other advances methodologies
  • Manage existing finance related Dynamics integrations and develop new integrations in accordance with business requirements
  • Liaise with regional business units to resolve issues, provide new solutions and guide training initiatives
  • Liaise with software vendor support to resolve faults and issues with the ERP system and add ons
  • Work with business units and with BI assets within and outside the IT Group to develop and enhance the Britax BI/Reporting portfolio including creation of ad-hoc SSRS reports to meet the ongoing needs of the business


Skills and Attributes

  • Extensive knowledge of finance functionalities and interactions in Dynamics AX and 365 (required)
  • Strong understanding of business processes and how finance interacts with and influences those processes
  • Ability to review SQL, X++ and C# code to support troubleshooting efforts (required)
  • Ability to work with diverse business units and communicate with users at all levels across multiple countries and time zones
  • Ability to interpret and translate business requirements to provide concise design requirements for software changes to developers
  • Ability to write basic SQL queries to discover relevant data, support analytical work, create SSRS reports and assist in data migration from existing to new ERP systems
