Commercial Lead

Main purpose of role: (but not limited to)

1) Leadership of the business providing the Regional leadership team input for the S&OP and yearly planning, driving analysis and insights in the drivers and drainers of the business and escalating where help is needed to deliver success. Be a dotted line for the management of the Sales team looking after the distributors and OMNI customers; coaching the talent and ensuring the business meets the targets set

2) Key account management of critical distributors building a great customer relationship and a strong roadmap to drive profitable growth based on deep market and customer analyses to reach and exceed the sales targets.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

Help the Sales Director to lead the DBU Sales team

• Help coach and develop talent within team

• Key contributor to plan process, S&OP and JBP cycle and Key contact on Sales topics with

leadership team

• Delivering against the EMEA trade spend strategy by locally adapting and executing plan

• Liaise with marketing department/team to ensure brand consistency

• Keep track of new product launches and discontinuation and ensure sales team members are on


• Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with customer needs


2) Key Account management

• Owning the commercial relationship, customer activity plan, JBP and internal forecast (Annual, Quarterly and Monthly) for key customers

• Delivers against targets set by the business

• Launch innovation with excellence – planning and executing innovation in their retailers

• Responsible for their customers trade spend budget and driving the best ROI linked to the EMEA

Candidate Profile (Education/Competencies Required/Functional Skills/Technical Skills):

For example:

  • Experience of the Juvenile & nursery Industry an advantage but not necessary
  • Experience of working with international distributors an advantage but not necessary
  • Must be highly analytical
  • Must be willing to travel within the EMEA region at least once a month
  • Excellent excel, reporting and presentation skills
